Written by Zocalo Toronto’s Artistic Director Vladimir Jon Cubrt, and co-directed by Cubrt and Taylor Graham, The Weeping Salsa is a lyrical tragedy in two acts that tells a story about eros – love that is passionate, physical and urgent; about power – subjugating one’s self for the sake of the partnership; and about finding the strength to stand alone. Puppetmongers, Shadow Puppetry Workshop: Dec 5, 6

This two-day workshop will visit the living traditions of shadow puppetry around the world. As well as hands-on puppet making, participants will build their own small shadow screens. Delve into puppet design, jointing and controls; explore variations in lamp and screen set ups, and of course try out manipulation techniques.
