The Quince Garden, Humber Studio Theatre, April 7–14
The Quince Garden
April 7 – 14, 2007 at the Humber Studio Theatre (Kipling, south of Lake Shore
Blvd. West).
Reservations: Box Office 416-675-6622 x 3080.
The Quince Garden is the final performance of the Humber Theatre season. It has been created by the graduating Theatre Performance class under the direction of Karin Randoja and Ker Wells. In an underground nightclub, men and women play out stories of a lost Eden, passion and desire. Choreographer Kelly Arnsby brings the sensual rhythms of Latin dance to the hidden world of the Quince Garden.
Founding members of Primus Theatre, Randoja and Wells bring a long history of creative collaboration to the work, including productions of The Orchard and Celebrazio at Humber Theatre. In the coming year, Ker Wells will also appear in the premiere of, Living Tall, aplay by Cleveland writer Michael Geither, under the direction of Karin Randoja.
The design team of Kelly Wolf (set and costume) and Flavia Hevia (lighting) are working with Theatre Production students to create the exotic world in which the play takes place.
We look forward to seeing you at The Quince Garden!

Active 18 Neighbourhood Forum
[Active 18] Neighbourhood Forum
Hello Active 18ers,
Active 18 and a few folks from other neighbourhood groups across Toronto are going to be inviting representatives from neighbourhood and residents’ associations to a one-day forum and strategy session in May to explore reforms to the planning process and to develop an action plan for change.
It seems that every neighbourhood has a “Queen Street” – and we think it’s time to do something about it.
