Choreographies of Migration
Azerbaijan artist Sashar Zarif, 2006 recipient of the Toronto International Dance Festival’s Paula Citron Award, and 2008 New Pioneers Award winner for Arts , draws from personal experience in four original dance works in Choreographies of Migration.
Each piece represents a different period of growth in his journey from Iran to Canada. Along with two solos by Zarif, the evening features a quartet and a trio by acclaimed Toronto dance artists.
