“Anne and Gilbert” in Kingston: August 15 to 30

As you may have heard, our musical “Anne and Gilbert” is being produced this summer by two different companies in two different towns. The Summerside,PEI production (produced by Campbell Webster) has been running to great houses and excellent reviews (none of which mentioned the writers!!! damn!!!!!!) since mid-June. It’s a gorgeous show, best ever, directed this year by Heidi Ford. And it goes until Oct.4.
But I really wanted to let you know about the one that’s a bit easier to get to, especially if you’re in Toronto.
It’s produced by the Thousand Islands Playhouse in Gananoque, who also did it last year. But this year they’re doing it in the GRAND THEATRE in KINGSTON, ONTARIO, famous for its prisons, its university engineers, and its cruise ships on which the mysterious Roger James entertains. More »
