Directed by Thomas Morgan Jones (Pyaasa, Letters to my Grandma) and presented at the Loop, Theatre Direct’s newly opened theatre for children, youth and families, Walking the Tightrope will run from April 7 to May 3. More »

TfT, “Le Dîner de Cons (The Dinner Game)”: April 22 to May 9

The Théâtre français de Toronto (TfT) is pleased to close its season with Francis Veber’s Le Dîner de Cons (The Dinner Game). An original TfT production, the play will be directed by Guy Mignault, TfT’s artistic director. This hilarious comedy runs at the Berkeley Street Theatre from April 22 to May 9, 2009.

This piece, a cult hit onstage and in film, has become synonymous with scathing comedy that denounces the excesses of today’s society. More »

LKTYP, “Pobby and Dingan”: April 20 – May 10

PobbyDingan.jpgLKTYP is proud to present the stage adaptation of Pobby and Dingan. Based on the award-winning book by Australian author, Ben Rice, Pobby and Dingan is a beautiful parable about how even ordinary people can become heroes to help those they love. Adapted for the stage by Paula Wing, Pobby and Dingan runs on the Mainstage between April 20 and May 10. This play was first presented as a staged reading in April 2008, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, as part of New Visions/New Voices.
