Klezmer meets free improvisation at Mezzetta
Jonno Lightstone (clarinet and flute), Brian Katz (Classical guitar) and David Mott (baritone Sax) are joining forces once again, to push klezmer music into post-modern territory. This is an arena in which Hasidic and Jewish traditions encounter free form improvisation and anything may happen. We draw on a variety of musical genres, from blues and jazz, to Indian raga and classical baroque. Don’t miss the battle of the basses – baritone sax encounters bass clarinet! More »
