Cellist Ofra Harnoy gives her first Canadian recital after a decade-long sabbatical from her meteoric career as one of the world’s foremost cellists, with Anton Kuerti at the piano. Roman Simovic, a leading violinist of his generation, plays Brahms in his Toronto debut, with the dynamic Ontario Philharmonic Orchestra and Maestro Marco Parisotto. And violin virtuoso Dmitri Berlinsky leads and solos with his own spectacular chamber orchestra. Join award winning spoken word artist, Dwayne Morgan at the Lula Lounge on August 15th, as he celebrates nearly two decades as one of Canada’s most influential poets.
Morgan is a household name nationally and internationally for his accomplishments. In Toronto, he is credited with starting Toronto’s first regular poetry slam (The Roots Lounge, 1998) as well as the When Brothers Speak and When Sisters Speak spoken word concerts among other events. More »
