Cow Over Moon Theatre, “The Gingerbread Guy”: Dec 14-19. Jan 8-9, 15-16
Cow Over Moon Children’s Theatre, the company that has produced such critically acclaimed Fringe hits as Chicken Licken and Jack Frost, returns this Holiday season with another hilarious take on a famous tale. The Gingerbread Guy will be presented in Mississauga at Clark Hall December 14-19, 2010 and in Toronto at the Pia Bouman Theatre January 8-9 and 15-16, 2011.
Loosely based on the classic tale, this version of the story takes us on an adventure with a newly baked Gingerbread Guy as he runs from the people who want to eat him up. All he wants to do is find a life of his own and maybe start a singing career, but what with a cast of zany characters who are all wanting a piece of him, he’ll need a lot of help to get the life he wants. With a big dose of audience participation, music and of course, a necessary chase scene, this show is guaranteed to delight kids both small and tall.
Featuring some of Toronto’s most innovative and celebrated comics, Cow Over Moon creates a unique combination of improvisation, songs, dance, and the kind of audience participation every inner child craves!
Directed by Terrance Balazo. Production Designer Anna Treusch.
