The young Helen de Narbonne, daughter to the aclaimed physician, has inherited from her father a miracle cure to the King’s disease. She asks but one thing in return – the hand in marriage of the dashing, highborn Bertram de Rossilion…

But the vain young Bertram scorns the love of the common born Helen, disobeys the King’s command, and steals away to seek honour on the battlefield…with the heartbroken yet determined Helen in hot pursuit!

All’s Well that Ends Well is one of Shakespeare’s rarely staged “problem plays”, with a cynical investigation of the tenuous relationship between honour and arrogance, love and lust.
It walks the razor’s edge between fairy tale comedy and harsh cynical realism, illuminating the enduring dichotomy in our lives between the hopeful naivete of youth and the jaded pragmatism of experience.
