Hamilton Artists in Schools and Communities
Facilitation Workshop
for Theatre Artists and Educators
led by Lisa Marie DiLiberto, Sean Frey and Treasa Levasseur
with a guest presentation by Ruth Howard (Jumblies Theatre)
and a keynote from the Ontario Arts Council.
We are seeking 12 delegates to gain hands on training in facilitating
dramatic arts workshops in schools and communities.
Workshop includes:
€ developing classroom management skills
€ building dramatic arts activity resources
€ creating lesson plans
€ applying for artist education grants
€ accessing community arts
…plus the opportunity to become an Artist Educator with FIXT POINT THEATRE
Three Saturdays:

by offering training opportunities to theatre artists
and quality dramatic arts workshops in schools and communities.
Lisa Marie DiLiberto is the Artistic Director of FIXT POINT THEATRE and the Artistic Coordinator of Arts4All with Jumblies Theatre at The Davenport Perth Neighbourhood Center in Toronto. Lisa Marie’s most recent training has been in Paris, France at Ecole Philippe Gaulier, an international school of physical theatre. Her work in Paris includes mask, vaudeville, character and clown. Lisa Marie is an alumnus of the acclaimed improv comedy club Second City in Toronto and a graduate of George Brown Theatre School. Lisa Marie is a four time Ontario Arts Council Artist in Education grant recipient and she has been a guest artist facilitating workshops at Vancouver’s Moving Theatre, Common Weal (Prince Albert, Saskatchewan), Arts Express (Toronto), CBC Toronto Film School, Queens University and Katimavik Canada.
FIXT POINT THEATRE co-produced Creena Defoouie which received critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, the Hamilton Fringe Festival (3 box office records), and at Dancemakers Theatre in Toronto. Most recently, Lisa Marie produced, created and performed in FIXT POINT THEATRE’s latest international collaboration about the origin of clothing entitled The Tale of a T-Shirt
which launched a 6 city national tour of Canada this past summer. The Tale of a T-Shirt will be touring to theatres in Graz and Vienna, Austria and the Prague International Festival in the Czech Republic this spring.
