But that is precisely why she wrote this one woman show, because silence, shame and fear still surround mental illness. Robert’s play explores her own internalized stigma that led her to refusing the very treatment that would later save her life. In celebration of WORLD STORYTELLING DAY, a “Dream Away” concert of folk tales takes place on Wednesday, March 20th at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Burlington, ON (3455 Lakeshore Road, just west of Walker’s Line) beginning at 8:15 p.m. The teller of tales for the evening is Brenda Byers, artistic director for Storywyse.
