Laura Kappel, “Passages”: March 29 – 31
I co-created and am performing in an upcoming show called Passages. It’s a collision of dance + film + live electro music. Some of you may have seen it in its infancy last year when musician Arthur Yeung, filmmaker Lesley Loksi Chan and I workshopped it during our HATCH residency at Harbourfront Centre. We’ve been busy re-tooling it with a great outside eye: Jacob Zimmer (Dancemakers, Small Wooden Shoe) and have since slimmed down our group,The Looking Sea Collective, to a mighty trio. Hope you can join us on this evocative ride. Here’s our nifty trailer and a flattering preview. Or keep tabs on us through The Looking Sea’s Facebook page. More »
