Stewart Memorial Church proudly presents Jackie Richardson, one of Canada’s foremost singers of gospel, blues and jazz, at its annual turkey dinner and concert on Thursday, November 24. The event is at a new location this year, the Ukranian Catholic Church of the Resurrection Hall, Corner of Upper Wentworth and Mohawk Road. As you may have all heard, there was a fire in Jesse’s apartment building last week. Most of his stuff has been destroyed by the fire that happened in one of the lower units of his building. He has been forced to move out of the building and start over. Lets help Jesse get back on his feet and replace the items he lost due to the fire. Tickets will be available starting Friday for $5 each, and can be picked up at the bar. We will be having a 50/50 draw, as well as a raffle. More »

On Wednesday, November 24th, Bryan Prince Bookseller presents An Evening with Margaret Trudeau a fundraising event at St. Paul’s United Church in Dundas in support of the Carnegie Gallery.

Internationally known as Canada’s youngest first lady when she married Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau in 1971, Margaret has since lived a rich and interesting life, raising five children and travelling throughout the world. However, privately, she has struggled with bipolar disorder. More »

La Jeunesse Youth Orchestra presents ‘The Cello Suites’

Eric Siblin will read from his bestselling book The Cello Suites: J.S. Bach, Pablo Casals, and the Search for a Baroque Masterpiece.
