Village Theatre, “Trafford Tanzi”:
The February production of the rock n’ roll comedy Trafford Tanzi by Village Theatre in Waterdown brings back to life the glory days of Hamilton’s supremacy in wrestling, when the city earned the name The Factory for churning out “wrasslers” who conquered the world. The play, by British playwright Claire Luckham, features the growth of a wrestling heroine from a baby in diapers to a woman who takes on her parents, her rival, and her husband in bouts of rock n’ roll, dance … and wrestling! Every argument, discussion, and disagreement is played out in wrestling moves, winner take all. More »
