BACKSTAGE is the sixth Sky Gilbert work presented by Hammertheatre to have it’s World Premiere in Hamilton, Ontario. Gilbert’s newest one-act play stars Suzanne Bennett, Moynan King, and newcomer Caleb Olivieri. Oakville Galleries, “Room” and “Kingdom Come”: Opening September 25

This fall, Oakville Galleries is pleased to present solo exhibitions by two Canadian artists that will transform its spaces with new site-specific works. Rooms, on view at Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens, features a series of multimedia installations by Toronto based artist Marla Hlady that bring together sonic and sculptural elements to draw attention to the otherwise unnoticed soundscapes of the building, formerly a private residence. Kingdom Come, on view at Oakville Galleries at Centennial Square and commissioned in honour of the fortieth anniversary of Sheridan College?s Art & Art History Program, presents an in situ wall painting by alumnus Denyse Thomasos, completed with the assistance of the college?s current students and recent graduates.
