Oakville Galleries, “Room” and “Kingdom Come”: Opening September 25
This fall, Oakville Galleries is pleased to present solo exhibitions by twoCanadian artists that will transform its spaces with new site-specific works. Rooms, on view atOakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens, features a series of multimedia installations by Toronto basedartist Marla Hlady that bring together sonic and sculptural elements to draw attention to theotherwise unnoticed soundscapes of the building, formerly a private residence. Kingdom Come,on view at Oakville Galleries at Centennial Square and commissioned in honour of the fortiethanniversary of Sheridan College?s Art & Art History Program, presents an in situ wall painting byalumnus Denyse Thomasos, completed with the assistance of the college?s current students andrecent graduates.
