Grandmothers Walk to Fight Aids in Africa: June 9, 2012
“On Saturday, June 9th 2012, grandmothers from across Canada will walk in solidarity to show their support of African grandmothers who are crucial to the survival of whole communities in the struggle against the AIDS pandemic.
Grandmothers are also hoping to raise money to provide critical services and support for African grandmothers and the children orphaned by AIDS in their care. Pledges and donations can be made either on-line at www.grandmotherscampaign.org/, or at the event, to the Stephen Lewis Foundation. More »

The Stone Tree Studio, are Cirvan and Elise, who live in a land of stone and wood near Dorset ON. For 20 years Cirvan has been building with wood in an evolution of style from rustic furniture to timber framing to very fine furniture. Cirvan has trained at Rosewood Studio School of Fine Woodworking completing the Craftsman program. He has won awards for his designs of tables and chairs. He designs and builds fine furniture in a variety of wood to suit your home or cottage and welcomes custom orders. He regularly exhibits his work in local studio tours and galleries as well as at Stone Tree Studio in Dorset Ontario where he lives with his wife Elise and 2 daughters. More »
