Brant Taletellers Guild – Cabaret Friday 25-May-2012 at the Brant Park Inn – featuring Dan Yashinsky.

Dan Yashinsky reweaves old stories with new yarn. In honor of the 200th anniversary of the Brothers Grimm. Dan will tell the story of Mister Globus and Laughing Boy, his version of a Grimm fairytale. It’s about a CEO whose claim to fame is making everything the same, and how a certain dragon helps Laughing Boy on his quest to find something that “can’t be bought, will never be sold, is free – yet more precious than gold.”

He is a Toronto-based storyteller and the author of Suddenly They Heard Footsteps – Storytelling for the Twenty-first Century. In l999 he received the Jane Jacobs Prize for his work with storytelling in the community.
