Sudanese Festival in Hamilton: August 15, 23

“Diversity in Diversity” starts with an opening night and extends to feature Sudanese culture. This includes cultural dance, spiritualities and rituals, music and theater. Some cultural activists and popular culture specialists are invited to deliver lectures and speeches.

The opening night is a formal dinner. It is effective on Friday, August 15, 2008 at Michelangelo’s Banquet Centre, 1555 Upper Ottawa Street, Hamilton, ON, 905-575-9955, at 7:00pm. Please come out and let us enjoy that evening together. Tickets are $50. The festival continues on with a Sudanese cultural day on August 23, 2008, 1:00 pm – 09:00 pm at Pier 4, Bay Front. The day includes dance presentations, music, food, artifacts and fine arts exhibitions. Admission is free.
