Directed by Astra Taylor, Examined Life is an invigorating film that activates philosophy into the everyday, providing food for the mind and nourishment for the soul. It interweaves fascinating “walks” with philosophers through places that hold special resonance for them and their ideas — crowded city streets, deserted alleyways, Central Park and even a garbage dump. The film features some of the great thinkers and philosophers of our time, including Cornel West, Peter Singer, Slavoj Zizek, Avital Ronelli and Martha Nussbaum. 2008 T.I.F.F. Rated G.
