You
can't go home again.
Or
can you?
The
Old Neighborhood, by Pulitzer-prize winning playwright David
Mamet, takes a daring stab at answering that question.
Lauded on Broadway in 1997 and in London in 1998, the play
now comes to Toronto in April for its Canadian premiere in a
bold new production by the East West Theatre Company.
The
Old Neighborhood follows Bobby Gould -- a Jewish man in his
late thirties -- who has hit a crossroads after he abandons
his marriage. Torn, lost and confused, Bobby travels back to
the place where he grew up - his old neighborhood -- looks
up his long-lost girlfriend, and struggles to find out which
way his life should turn.
