Classical music: Bay City String Quartet, Sun Sept 27, 3 pm

Sunday September 27, 2015, 3 to 5 pm, $10 regular, $5 youth. Bay City String Quartet: Madeleine Kay violin, Ewen Hutton violin, Maximilan Aoki cello, Dominico Kim cello, play a Sunday afternoon concert at Artword Artbar. The string quartet is unconventional in instrumentation, as they play without a viola, substituting it with a second cello. The quartet will play a mixture of classical and modern music, coupled with individual and duo performances from the members of the group. They are all leading members of the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Bay City Strings are quickly becoming active members of the Hamilton music scene, playing at the Hamilton Youth Poets 2015 fundraiser, participating in the 2015 Juno Awards Turn It On Hamilton, and playing for other local fundraisers and events in the area. http://baycitystringquartet.blogspot.ca/
