Saturday September 24, 2016, at 8 pm, $8 advance (905-543-8512), at door $10, $5 students. Hannah Shira Naiman, singer/banjoist from Toronto, brings you original songs, played on the clawhammer banjo, sung with the appalachian sound. “Songs not from the mountains, but from a rocky, rugged place.” Hannah stops by on her way to a Bluegrass festival in Virginia. http://www.hannahshiranaiman.
Hannah has invited the Niagara String Band (Alex Andrews and Shawn Fehlow, R & L in photo), as special guests for the evening. The duo perform a range of musical styles popularized in the early 20th century, an eclectic repertoire drawn from old recordings and sheet music. They play a variety of instruments including guitar, upright bass, 5 and 6 string banjo, piano, mandolin, fiddle, and harmonica. http://www.niagarastringband.com/
