Jazz guitarist Chris Platt album release, Wed Oct 18

Wednesday October 18, 2017, at 8 pm, $10. The Chris Platt Trio will be releasing their debut album, Sky Glow. Chris Platt guitar; Phill Albert bass; Mike Rajna drums. The album consists of entirely original compositions by Chris, drawing influence from Jazz, Blues, and Brazilian music. The album offers fluent melodies, understated rhythms, and a harmonic complexity, paying homage to composers Billy Strayhorn and Guinga, among many others. On the evening of the album release, Chris and his trio will play through the album in its entirety, along with some favourite jazz standards and folk tunes.
