Artword Artbar was a cabaret-style venue at 15 Colbourne Street, Hamilton, close to James Street North, run by Ron Weihs and Judith Sandiford. It had live music, theatre and dance performances four nights a week (or more). We offered simple but delicious food prepared to order, good beer, wine and spirits. There was an art gallery downstairs and art on the walls.
In 2019, after 10 wonderful years, we received an offer from an architectural design company to buy the building. We sold it. On Saturday, November 16, 2019, The Hill Brothers Bluegrass Band played our last concert.
Three months later? The pandemic arrived.
