Browne senior’s distinctive, bluesy piano style swings with traces of Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Errol Garner and Bill Evans, yet the sound is unmistakably his own. He is partnered with Sean’s soulful bass offerings, with a ferocious dexterity and complete musicality.

Montreal-born pianist Brian Browne has long been regarded as one of the leading proponents of jazz piano in Canada. Browne’s distinctive, bluesy piano style swings with traces of Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Errol Garner and Bill Evans, yet the sound is unmistakably his own.
Brian is currently living and working in Ottawa, having come full circle in a career that took him to Toronto and New York. He now divides his time between performing at festivals, concerts, jazz venues, private functions and teaching.
