Combining pop, rock, and folk music, Matthew de Zoete writes songs built on strong melodies and honest lyrics. Matthew is working on a new album with producer Les Cooper, for mid-2011. The Woodshed Orchestra takes its cues from the New Orleans second line, NYC klezmer, old metal, roots reggae, power pop, punk, ragtime jazz, fast folk, old school country, deep r&b and crooked cajun music. Members of the Woodshed range from all over the Toronto musical map; Michael Herring, Jason Kenemy, Tania Gill, Ken McDonald, Joe Lapinski, Julia Hambleton, Karen Ng, Scott Thomson, Nick Buligan, Tom Howell, Rebecca Hennessey, Paul Kolinski and more populate the bandstand and keep the gumbo cooking.
