The Hamilton Friendship Association with Cuba (HFAC) calls on the community to support this program to contribute to the important work across Canada and the world to uphold Cuba’s right to self-determination by ending the blockade. The HFAC has hosted the Pastors for Peace for many years with this spirit of Canada-U.S. cooperation and to fulfill our mandate of promoting people-to-people friendship and exchange. About IFCO/Pastors for Peace Cuba Caravan

IFCO/Pastors for Peace Cuba Caravan is a project of the award-winning Inter-religious Foundation for Community Organization (IFCO) that was launched in response to the 1988 civilian attack by contra forces in Nicaragua. The Pastors for Peace project aims to deliver material aid to support the victims of U.S. so-called “low intensity” warfare in Latin America and to initiate education and advocacy projects to campaign for a more just and moral U.S. foreign policy in our hemisphere. Each year the Cuba Caravan travels across Canada and the US collecting goods and donations to be delivered to Cuba in defiance of the blockade. For Cuba, the Caravan is an important effort to end the U.S. blockade against the island, which causes shortages of food, medicine and other important supplies for eleven million people. It is an immoral policy that uses hunger and disease as political weapons. To make a donation to the Caravan, please contact us directly at info@cubacanda.org.
