In Artword Gallery for the month of May 2012, paintings by Miranda Black and linocut prints by Meiko Ando.
Miranda Black (image left) Artist’s Statement: “In this time of environmental catastrophe and economical detriment Mother Earth needs a voice. It takes a lot to fight for our earth mother. Right now, fighting for our earth is still seen as against the stream. However the resilience of our planet and survival the human race are linked. As our climate shifts our lives will change and I am hopeful that our addictions will lessen. Now, more than any other time, the world is in need of art that generates freedom of our most precious human trait — our souls. As a visionary artist my goal is to use the light of creativity and imagination to envision our world as a planet of health and spiritual wealth.” Artist present during Art Crawl Friday May 11, 2012.
