Theatre: An Evening with Lucky Jim Lacroix, by Sky Gilbert, Nov 7-17

November 7 to 17, 2013, a two-week run of Sky Gilbert’s new play An Evening with Lucky Jim Lacroix, written and directed by Sky Gilbert, featuring Stephanie Jones and Jason Cadieux of ECT (Essential Collective Theatre Company). The play is an up close and personal conversation with contract killer Lucky Jim (Jason Cadieux) who has agreed to give a talk at a local community centre in the hopes of earning brownie points for his upcoming parole hearing. The play is a darkly comic look at contemporary obsession with the “righteous kill”, morality and the inadequacies of our justice system. “Audiences that saw ETC’s production of CRACK by Sky Gilbert will remember that Sky is not afraid to challenge his audiences with tough questions about politics, sex and modern morality.”
