Friday July 11, 2014, from 8:15 pm, tip jar. An Art Crawl special treat: PerlHaze, a new project by two well-known jazz singers Sophia Perlman and Terra Hazelton. Join us at Artword Artbar, as they preview their new material and their new approach to harmonising. They want to perform at Art Crawl to show as many people as possible the wonderful things they are up to.
“Toronto-based singers Terra Hazelton and Sophia Perlman have discovered a mutual love for music, harmonies and songwriting that goes far beyond the borders of their respective jazz careers. They are taking their first steps as aspiring songwriters, and learning to play (at press time) six instruments between them, and fine-tuning their uncanny vocal blend.
